What if we could build buildings the way Toyota builds cars?

At IMPACT, we have been practicing Lean Techniques since 2008 for the benefit of our partners and clients and are driving the practice through all of our projects, no matter how large or small.

Lean Construction is a production management based approach to project delivery a new way to design and build capital facilities. The Lean Production management style (the “Toyota Way”) has caused a revolution in manufacturing design, supply and assembly. Applied to the construction industry, ‘Lean’ techniques can radically change the way work is done throughout the delivery process.

The Lean Construction process extends the objectives of a lean production system, by maximizing value and minimizing waste, to specific techniques and applies them in a new project delivery process. The distinction between production management and project management (the way it has always been done) is a huge difference. Lean Construction manages the production required to deliver a project as opposed to managing the project and letting the production run itself.

Lean Construction techniques work to produce the reliable release of work between specialists in design, supply and assembly, assuring value to the customer, while minimizing errors and reducing waste.
